Mixed Messages/Masks of Courtship

channeled by Janice Scott-Reeder

Black velvet nights and white linen days,

Electric stars above purple satin sheets.

Passion that cannot be held at bay,

Whenever our spirits come to meet.

Red satin against porcelain skin,

Hidden under a black cotton skirt.

A heart beating in passion's sin,

Hides beneath a pale green shirt.

A double meaning tossed to me.

The twinkle in my eyes reply.

Was it only for me to see?

Your proper manners are a lie.

Each time we meet in I see in your face,

Two very different men watching me.

One likes red satin and black lace.

The other so appaled at what he sees.

Let me reach within your act,

Unleash the passion in your body.

Do not think, please just react.

I cannot take this parody.

Outside a lady I can be,

Behind your door: black satin,

Things for only your eyes to see,

Awakens all your passions latent.

A lady for the others to believe,

Most proper and well bred you see.

Within your arms the need I'll relieve,

A lover and a partner I can be.
